PFF Announces "Flesh and Iron" Screening
This week, the Princeton Film Festival announced that it will be screening “Flesh and Iron” (2017) in its screening series, excluded from consideration in this season’s competition. “Flesh and Iron,” a short narrative film starring and directed by Emma Michalak, tells the story of a young woman struggling with motherhood and black self-hatred who is willing to rid herself of these burdens at nearly any cost. The film, Michalak states, is loosely based off of a new Toni Morrison short story, "Sweetness," recently published in The New Yorker.
